    As a Barclays Java Developer, you will be excited by the coding, interested in DevOps and passionate about user experience. You will be responsible for delivery from the initial idea through to implementation of the features used by both Barclays customers and our colleagues. The multi-channel applications are provided across web, mobile, telephony and contact center platforms.


    What will you be doing?

    • Working as a software engineer with a focus on Java
    • Learning new programming concepts
    • Working in an end to end development environment to produce the best code possible
    • Promoting and driving stewardship and application best practices within the development team
    • Maintaining a strong knowledge of emerging software development methods, tools and standards and actively keep this knowledge current
    • Championing innovation by recognizing newly arising opportunities for improving customer satisfaction and achieving technical excellence
    • Identifying own and others development needs and seek opportunities to address these needs through guidance, coaching and formal training


    What we’re looking for:

    • Java programming language
    • Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
    • Spring/Spring Boot
    • Experience with Gradle


    Skills that will help you in the role:

    • Dev Ops skills (e.g. Docker, Jenkins etc.)
    • Familiar with Micro Services
