II Conference "Teaching Cooperatives and their role in the 2030 Agenda"

The Spanish Union of Teaching Cooperatives (UECoE) held, in collaboration with the Union of Teaching Cooperatives of Castilla-La Mancha, the II Conference 'Teaching Cooperatives and their role in the 2030 Agenda', which was attended by professionals from education, cooperative members and teachers from all over the Spain.

With this conference, the cooperative teaching movement has wanted not only to disseminate the 2030 Agenda and raise awareness about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) from the perspective of the Teaching Cooperatives but also to learn about experiences and good practices that are being developed in their centres.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Francisco Rueda Sagaseta, Councilor for Economic Promotion of the Toledo City Council; María Dolores López, General Director of Evaluation and Territorial Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training; Maravillas Espín Sáez, General Director of Self-Employment, Social Economy and CSR of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy; Eduardo del Valle Calzada, general director of Self-Employed, Labour and Social Economy of the region of Castilla-La Mancha; Ángel Gómez García, President of the Union of Cooperatives of Education of Castilla-La Mancha (UCECM), and Javier Martínez Cuaresma, president of the Spanish Union of Cooperatives of Education (UECoE).

The day concluded with the award ceremony of the III Cajamar Prize "Promotion of cooperative entrepreneurship at School".
