PI Paralegal A Leading law firm in Bristol require an experienced PI Paralegal to join our claimant injury department. The successful applicant will be responsible for their own caseload involving a wide variety of injury claims. This department deals with injury claims of all kinds. They include public and employer's liability claims, claims for injuries cause by animals, product liability, accidents in schools and on holiday, sporting injuries and injuries caused by faulty cosmetic treatments. A combination of office and home working will be required. The successful candidate will be required to work from the Bristol office up to 2 days a week. On the days that you are not working in the Bristol office, you will be working from home. Duties/Responsibilities: ·Efficiently and effectively running own caseload of non-motor personal injury claims; ·Pursuing claims through and outside of the MOJ Portals including pre- and post-litigation stages making full use of a case management system; ·Complying fully with agreed service standards; ·Communicating with clients, insurers, expert witnesses and solicitors; ·Attending and participating in weekly risk assessment meetings; ·Managing expectations of clients & effectively deal with any complaints that arise in line with Company policy; ·Attending and participating in weekly risk assessment meetings; ·Any other duties as required Skills/Competencies required: ·Significant experience of handling a motor and non-motor claimant injury caseload; ·Proven experience of dealing with cases arising from Employers, Public and Occupiers Liability along with the Animals Act ·Working knowledge of MOJ Portal processes; ·Knowledge of a Case Management System; ·Ability to work to strict Service Level Agreements; ·Technical proficiency in claims handling including litigation; ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ·Ability to analyse and research legal issues; ·Ability to organise and prioritise work; ·Ability to work as part of a team; ·Law degree, CILEx or equivalent qualification desirable but not essential.
