We are a leading company specialising in precast concrete looking to fill 1 vacancy for a PRODUCTION ENGINEER for a major project at our production centre in Chatham, Kent (UK).

We are leaders in the design, manufacture and assembly of precast, prestressed reinforced concrete structures.


The purpose of this role is to lead a production shift by managing both material and human resources available, so that production targets are met (planning, product quality, HSE targets, costs…). This including, but not limited to, the following duties:


  • Manage work shifts, monitor and provide solutions to incidents while providing technical support to shift managers. Investigates and eliminates potential hazards and bottlenecks in production.
  • Define and monitor shift KPIs.
  • Generate and monitor workstation specification sheets.
  • Liaise with the client on matters regarding day-to-day production,
  • Cooperate with the QAQC and HSE managers, to ensure product quality and a safe working environment.
  • Report to the Project Manager and advises on and effective implementation of new production methods or techniques.

Our successful candidate would be someone who meets the following requirements:

  • Engineering Degree (Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering…)
  • 3-5 years of previous experience preferably in the precast concrete and/or construction sector, and with experience in international projects.
  • Proficient user of Autocad, Ms Project and Office Pack.
  • Fluent in English, B2 level or higher.
  • Fluent in Spanish, as our parent company is of Spanish origin.
  • Highly valued will be training in aspects such as Project Management, cost control and Lean/Kaizen systems, Health and Safety, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
  • Autonomous in decision-making, a good leader and team-player, able to work under pressure, result-oriented, able to see the broad picture, compromised and focused on continuous improvement.
  • Available for trips both in the UK and abroad.
