The Ministry of Labour and Social Economy has commissioned the production of eleven videos to showcase the social economy as a model of a socially responsible business. These videos aim to raise awareness of social economy entities and highlight their distinctiveness in terms of purpose, activity and modes of action. This initiative is part of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
Specifically, these videos present ten different models of entities, across various sectors and autonomous communities.
These videos act as testimonies from individuals involved in the social economy, highlighting its distinctiveness regarding purpose, activity and modes of action.
The dissemination of these videos aims to raise awareness of social economy entities (cooperatives, mutual societies, economically active foundations and associations, employee ownership companies, community interest companies, supported employment schemes, angler's guilds, transformative farm business partnerships and others governed by the principles of the Social Economy) and to demonstrate their potential for economic transformation and the fight against negative population trends in rural areas. The videos will also promote sustainable development and fair green and digital transitions in line with the objectives of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The objective is to promote establishing social enterprises, particularly in rural areas and regions facing depopulation issues, and to support the growth of existing entities through public awareness initiatives and the attraction of potential clients and personnel.
