These are the situations protected by Social Security in the Special Regime for Self-Employment:

  • Medical leave due to common illness and non-occupational accident.
  • Medical leave due to occupational illness or accident at work.
  • Birth and care of a child.
  • Risk during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
  • Permanent disability.
  • Widowhood and orphanhood.
  • Cessation of activity due to involuntary cause.
  • Retirement.
