The National Strategy for the Promotion of Self-Employment 2022-2027 (ENDITA) is an initiative of the Ministry of Labour and Social Economy that is configured as a roadmap to boost and promote self-employment, which currently has more than 3 million self-employed workers in Spain and is one of the country's economic driving forces.

Self-employment is therefore an essential part of the Spanish economy, which is why the strategy, also forged in the framework of dialogue with professional self-employment associations, includes a series of actions that seek to respond effectively to the needs of people who carry out self-employment and reinforce an employment model that contributes to equality and social inclusion and also generates employment.

To this end, ENDITA is also aligned with the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in particular SDG 8 "Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all".

This strategy adopts a comprehensive approach with the aim of responding to the needs of the self-employed throughout the entire life cycle of the activity, from the creation of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, through the start-up of the self-employed activity, the development of the activity and the accompanying measures, as well as the measures to improve the evolutionary development of the entrepreneurial activity.

ENDITA is made up of 3 cross-cutting priorities and 6 strategic axes that form the backbone of a roadmap for the promotion of self-employment and that mark the path towards recovery: digitalisation, social and territorial cohesion, inclusion, sustainability and effective equality between women and men, which are developed through lines of action in which a large number of specific measures and proposals are deployed.
